The MK2.2 and MK3 provide a galvanically isolated connection to VE.Bus, and it translates the VE.Bus protocol into the “MK2/MK3 Protocol”.
The MK2/MK3 Protocol allows reading information, turning the device on and off, changing the current limits and configuring a device.

All you need to link to your PC in order to be able to set and read out all parameters, is the data link as shown. Moreover, all Victron Energy products equipped with an RS-485 data port, such as VE.Net, can easily be integrated in a computerized monitoring and control system.
